75 primary school pupils from 25 schools across Cardiff took part in a day-long play conference called Shout Out About Play.
Pupils took part in interactive, fun workshops that enabled them to share their views on play opportunities in their schools and communities. All the information gathered by members of the Play Service Team will be used to inform the city’s Play Action Plan which will be submitted to Welsh Government in March.
Play Service Manager Sarah Stork said, ‘We will make the commitment to use all the views and information gathered at today’s event to shape Cardiff’s Play Action Plan, this is a really important part of our work.’
Play Worker, Justyne Sanders said, ‘The children were amazing, they came up with great ideas and gave us lots to think about.’
A report will be written and shared with all schools.
