Young Inspectors – Tempo

Tempo, the network running the distribution and spending of time credits across the UK recently put their Cardiff team through the National Participation Standards. This is what they had to say about the experience: “Recently we went through the Child Participation standards, firstly self-assessing and then later being inspected and reviewed by the Young Inspectors.

We really enjoyed the process and found it manageable to complete. It was a very useful internal assessment of where we are and how we value participation; as an organisation that values the voice and experiences of everyone within our network (including young people!) it was interesting to see how valuable it is, and where we could still do a bit better. We plan to introduce more varied communication methods including Instagram so we reach younger audiences as just one example of changes we made.

The inspection with the young people was a great experience, with the observations and discussions of the young people challenging how we manage participation and picking up on opportunities for us to include the views of young people that we had not recognised.”

Tempo have since been recommended for the kitemark award.

Arolygwyr Ifainc – Tempo

Yn ddiweddar, rhoddodd Tempo, y rhwydwaith sy’n cynnal y drefn o ddosbarthu a gwario credydau amser ar draws y DU, dîm Caerdydd drwy’r Safonau Cyfranogiad Cenedlaethol. Dyma’r oedd ganddynt i’w ddweud am y profiad:  “Yn ddiweddar aethom drwy’r Safonau Cyfranogiad Plant, yn gyntaf yn hunan-asesu ac yna’n ddiweddarach yn cael ein harolygu a’n hadolygu gan yr Arolygwyr Ifanc.

Bu i ni fwynhau’r broses yn fawr a chawsom ni hi’n hawdd ei chwblhau. Roedd yn asesiad mewnol defnyddiol iawn o ble’r ydym ni a sut rydym yn gwerthfawrogi cyfranogiad fel sefydliad sy’n gwerthfawrogi llais a phrofiadau pawb yn ein rhwydwaith (gan gynnwys pobl ifanc!) Bu’n ddiddorol gweld pa mor werthfawr ydyw, a lle y gallem ddal i wneud ychydig yn well. Rydym yn bwriadu cyflwyno dulliau cyfathrebu mwy amrywiol, gan gynnwys Instagram er mwyn i ni gyrraedd cynulleidfaoedd iau fel un enghraifft yn unig o’r newidiadau a wnaethom.

Bu’r arolygiad gyda’r bobl ifanc yn brofiad gwych, gydag arsylwadau a thrafodaethau’r bobl ifanc yn herio sut rydym yn rheoli cyfranogiad, gan fanteisio ar gyfleoedd i ni gynnwys barn pobl ifanc nad oeddem wedi’i chydnabod.”

Ers hynny, mae Tempo wedi cael ei argymell ar gyfer gwobr Kitemark.
