Curriculum for Life Interviews

As part of our young interviewers programme three of our CYC members sat on a young person’s interview panel for the new position of ‘Curriculum for Life worker’ that would be managed by the Child Friendly City programme.

Mia John sat on the panel as chair, along with Alana-Leigh Ellis and Zahara Mutibwa. Within the decision making process the young people’s panel and the adult panel were unsure which candidate out of the two would be suitable for the role, as both candidates were strong but had differing strengths.

Discussions eventually led to both panels agreeing that both candidates would complement each other professionally. As a result of this decision, both of them were employed as Curriculum for Life workers! CYC and AIT welcome Tom and Amy to Cardiff Council and look forward to working with them in the near future.

Cyfweliadau Cwricwlwm am Oes

Fel rhan o’n rhaglen cyfwelwyr ifanc, bu tri o aelodau Cyngor Ieuenctid Caerdydd yn eistedd ar banel cyfweld pobl ifanc ar gyfer y swydd newydd ‘Gweithiwr Cwricwlwm am Oes’ a fyddai’n cael ei reoli gan y rhaglen Dinas sy’n Dda i Blant.

Bu Mia John yn eistedd ar y panel fel cadeirydd, ynghyd ag Alana-Leigh Ellis a Zahara Mutibwa. Yn ystod y broses o wneud penderfyniadau, nid oedd y panel pobl ifanc a’r panel oedolion yn sicr pa ymgeisydd o’r ddau a fyddai’n addas ar gyfer y rôl, gan fod y ddau ymgeisydd yn gryf ond â chryfderau gwahanol.

Arweiniodd trafodaethau yn y pen draw at y ddau banel yn cytuno y byddai’r ddau ymgeisydd yn ategu ei gilydd yn broffesiynol. O ganlyniad i’r penderfyniad hwn, cyflogwyd y ddau ohonynt yn Weithwyr Cwricwlwm am Oes! Croesawodd Cyngor Ieuenctid Caerdydd a’r Tîm Cynnwys Actif Tom ac Amy i Gyngor Caerdydd ac maen nhw’n edrych ymlaen at weithio gyda nhw yn y dyfodol agos.
