Homeless World Cup

HWC

This year a new event hit Cardiff, the homeless world cup. The homeless world cup brings together teams of people who have recently experienced or are experiencing homelessness. Each country sends a team of players to compete in the event and more than 500 players, from over 50 countries were involved in the tournament.

Of the 8 daylong event, AIT spent 2 days promoting CYC and trying to gain new recruits. We enlisted the help of some existing CYC members along the way. They asked young people at the event about their top issues in Cardiff, in Wales and globally. These issues will be fed into the debate when CYC choose their priorities for this coming year. We also teamed up with the local hubs and helped them do some consultation work.hwc.jpg2EAjn04lWkAAnKMv
